Philippe Mius d’Entremont is playing cello since his early childhood. He first takes private lessons with Pierre Bernier and Lorraine Pouliot. He later studies music in college and Université Laval with Huguette Morin.
In the early 90’s, he broadens his musical horizons with the likes of alternative rock band The Seas and singer-songwriter Sébastien Gabriel with whom he performs several hundred shows and spends over a year in Europe.
Back in Quebec, he reconnects with the rock scene, playing in bands such as Me & My Bones, Eonz and Maruka. Meanwhile, he participates in the recording of various albums, ranging from poetry with Nathalie Lessard to radio-friendly pop with Marie-Mai.
While furthering his career as a rock musician, he returns to classical music by joining the Philharmonie Jeunesse de Montréal and deepens his knowledge of folklore music by frequently playing with Les Tireux d’Roches. He is currently exploring soundtrack, mainly for dance and documentaries.
Philippe Mius d’Entremont is a cellist for the Musicians of the World Symphony Orchestra and a member of hardcore band Les Ékorchés.
